Non-surgical Aneurysm Therapy : AAvertTM

There is no known AAA treatment prior to surgical intervention, which is only indicated for those with larger diameter (>5.5cm), late stage aneurysmal disease. No one treats AAAs smaller than 5.5cm. The target patients of Vatrix are those dangerously waiting to become candidates for surgery. Vatrix can also provide a treatment option to those patients whose anatomies prohibit them from being surgical candidates.

Vatrix has developed a balloon delivery system with patented polymer coating for the direct treatment of aneurysmal tissue. AAvert serves to: 1) Halt the degenerative processes associated with aneurysms, and 2) Mechanically strengthen the arterial wall. In this way, AAvert directly hinders aneurysm-related dilation, thus substantially decreasing the risk of rupture, increasing the longevity of patients, and delaying or eliminating the need for more dangerous and traumatic surgical interventions.

Vascular Aneurysm Stabilization (VAS)

The foundation of our Vascular Aneurysm Stabilization (VASTM) is a patented polymer-like, plant-derived polyphenol. VAS acts to bind elastin, effectively blocking the action of aggressive enzymes in the blood that break down the abdominal aortic wall leading to aneurysm growth and eventual rupture.
